What healthy eyes look like

Topic Progress:

Instruction

In this topic you will learn about what healthy eyes look like and signs of eye health problems.

It is important to recognize what healthy and unhealthy eyes look like as part of sensory screening.

Parts of the eye

The parts of the eye that can be seen from the outside include:

  • Eyelids (top and bottom)
  • Eyelashes
  • Coloured part of the eye
  • White part of the eye.

Other parts of the eye are also involved in seeing. These are not included as they are not checked in screening.
